Virgin Media saw 99,000 new customers sign up during 2015 - a record level of growth.
Interest in the provider was particularly strong towards the end of the year, as 55,000 people subscribed in the final quarter.
This has been attributed partly to ongoing investment in Project Lightning, which Virgin Media has hailed as the single largest investment in broadband digital infrastructure in the UK for more than a decade.
The company registered 158,000 new internet additions during 2015. The number hit 69,000 in Q4, the highest quarterly figure since the start of 2010.
Customer churn rates in the UK also improved throughout the year, going from 14.6 per cent in Q4 2014 to 14.1 per cent in Q4 2015.
Tom Mockridge, Chief Executive of Virgin Media, commented: "More people than ever are choosing to switch to the UK's fastest broadband speeds from Virgin Media, whether they are at home, at work or on the go."
