EE TV users can now view their favourite programmes on their mobile and tablet while they are out of the house.
The new Recordings To Go Feature enables customers to transfer free to view content as soon as it has aired, allowing them to watch anything from news and sport to films and soaps when they are on the move.
The new function also gives users the ability to manage and set their recordings even if they are not at home, which means they never have to miss their favourite programmes.
Simeon Bird, Director of Home Broadband & TV at EE, said: "We’re continually looking at ways to offer new, exciting and innovative TV features to our customers and now we’ve made EE TV truly mobile.
"With Recordings To Go, we’re giving users unique control over how and where they choose to watch TV - whether that’s on a train, bus, tube or even a plane”.
EE believes the feature sets a new benchmark for the TV industry, as it means TV viewers can enjoy shows from its free to view channels "whenever and wherever" they like.
These programmes can then continue to be accessed on a person's mobile device until they choose to delete it, as there will be no expiry date for any show.
EE TV has also updated its app so the Electronic Programme Guide on mobile devices is the same as the one offered on set top boxes.
Users can therefore find out what programmes are coming up and when they are being broadcast just as easily as they can at home.
They can then select which future shows they wish to transfer to their mobile device.
A Recordings To Go Hub is included on the main menu of the EE TV app, which gives users one convenient location in which to access all their existing recordings.
