Virgin TV customers will no longer be able to purchase individual Sky Sports channels from next month onwards.

Until now, subscribers have had the option of buying Sky Sports 1 or 2 on their own, but from June, they will only be able to buy a bundle of channels.

This means that sports fans will have to pay more if they wish to continue enjoying live action on their TV at home.

The standard price of the Sky Sports Collection on Virgin Media is being increased to £31.75 a month from June.

At the moment, the option of purchasing Sky Sports 1 or 2 on their own costs just £21.50 a month extra.

However, the Sky Sports Collection does offer Sky Sports 1 to 5, as well as Sky Sports F1 and Sky Sports News HQ.

Furthermore, discounts will be available with broadband and TV packages including the Big Kahuna Bundle, which includes unlimited broadband with speeds of up to 200Mbps, unlimited weekend landline calls, 230 digital TV channels and the Sky Sports Collection at a cost of £19 a month for a year.
