EE news

EE is outpacing its rivals in the mobile broadband market in London, Ofcom has revealed.

New data from the regulator has revealed that EE offers the best 4G-based mobile broadband speeds in central London, just ahead of Vodafone.

By contrast, Three UK and O2 were found to be lagging some way behind in terms of download and upload speeds.

EE has hailed the findings, with a spokesperson telling ISPreview.co.uk: "The great speeds that our customers are getting is down to the investment that we’ve made in adding more capacity to our network.

"These Cat 6 devices, which include big-selling smartphones like the iPhone 6s and the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7, on the EE network are giving customers an amazing internet experience."

Indeed, the spokesman said its customers are currently able to enjoy fast data, excellent response times and strong reliability.

The EE official added that it will continue investing in more capacity across the UK to make sure customers on its network consistently receive the fastest mobile speeds.
