BT broadband customers are experiencing further connectivity problems following yesterday's outage.

A spokesperson said the service has been affected because of a "substantial" power failure at Telehouse North, one of its internet connection partners in the Docklands.

"We’re sorry that some BT and Plusnet customers are having problems connecting to some internet services this morning," the spokesperson commented.

"We are redirecting traffic to reduce the impact on customers and the issue is now affecting less than five per cent of customers’ internet usage."

BT added that engineers are on site and that it hopes to be able to correct the problem shortly.

Today's problems have prompted an angry response on BT's Twitter page from customers, as they come after power issues at one of its internet peering partners' sites in London affected broadband services yesterday.
