Vodafone news

Vodafone has seen a surge in the number of fixed line broadband customers in the UK over recent months.

According to the company's latest trading statement, an additional 28,000 subscribers came aboard during the second quarter of 2016.

This takes the overall number of fixed line broadband customers in Britain up to 137,000.

The increase is good news for Vodafone, considering that UK service revenue declined by 3.2 per cent between April and June.

Commenting on the results, Group Chief Executive Vittorio Colao said: "In Europe, our growth remains stable despite regulatory pressure on roaming revenue, with good performance in Germany, Spain and Italy, while we are focused on improving our performance in the UK."
