Virgin Media has hailed news that more Premier League fixtures are to be broadcast live on TV.
From the start of the 2019-20 season, an extra 22 matches will be shown live.
According to Virgin Media, this means the majority of bank holiday and midweek fixtures will be available to watch on TV as they happen.
Tom Mockridge, Chief Executive of Virgin Media, commented: "As the only TV provider to offer all the available games, we are pleased that after a two-year campaign, the Premier League has agreed to offer more TV games.”
The company began its #MoreBalls campaign two years ago after complaining to Ofcom about how live rights are auctioned.
Virgin Media said the process went against competition rules and was not good for fans.
Ofcom has since demanded that a "no single buyer" rule is put in place at the next auction, which means that at least 42 matches per season will be reserved for a second buyer.
