sky go redesign

Sky is expanding its on demand service by making Channel 4's digital hub available on Sky Go and Sky Q mobile apps.

This means customers can catch up on hit All 4 shows such as Gogglebox, First Dates, Hollyoaks and Made in Chelsea whenever they want.

According to Sky, both apps boast intuitive designs that will make it simpler and quicker for people to find and watch the latest episodes of their favourite shows.

Luke Bradley-Jones, Brand Director of TV and Content Products at Sky, commented: "It’s fantastic that customer favourites from All 4 have been added to Sky Go and Sky Q mobile platforms, showing our commitment to giving customers even more of the best TV in a way that’s easy and flexible, to fit into their lifestyles.

"So find your phone or tablet, log in, and catch up with June and Leon in the latest episode of Gogglebox wherever you are."

Carl Pfeiffer, Head of Distribution at Channel 4, added that it is "delighted" to be bringing catch-up from All 4 to Sky's mobile apps and "building on the classic Channel 4 shows that we already make available".

The news comes shortly after programmes from Universal Channel, Syfy and E! Entertainment Television were added to the Sky Go and Sky Q apps.

Sky has confirmed that new features will be rolled out in the coming months to make the apps even better.

The provider said this will also put new programmes from the likes of All 4, ITV, Sky Atlantic and MTV "at the heart of customers' viewing experience".

Figures from Sky show that in September 2016, there were more than 86 million views of live and on demand TV via its mobile apps in the UK and Ireland.

This figure could be set to rise significantly in future months following news that Sky Q customers can now stream programmes live and on demand while out and about through its smartphone app.
