Sky is to deactivate its Sky Store player from YouView later this month.
Customers are currently being notified about the switch-off, which will take place on November 30th.
However, customers will still be able to watch all the movies they have purchased or rented on other devices.
Sky Store was set up to allow customers to purchase new release movies, with a digital HD copy added to their TV and devices and a DVD sent out in the post.
However, the service was recently expanded to offer box sets of both films and TV shows.
Prices start at £22.99 for box sets of popular shows including Homeland, Breaking Bad and House of Cards.
Customers can also pay from £13.99 to obtain box sets of hit movie franchises such as Toy Story and Fast & Furious.
