The new 'Star Trek' TV series is set to land next year, and now we have the first teaser trailer to watch. Check it out.
The trailer takes the form of a beguiling trip through space, traversing planets, asteroid fields and what looks like a sun made of molten lava before we're confronted with the new 'Star Trek' logo.
The trailer also promises "new crews, new villains, new heroes, new worlds".
Whereas previous reboots have had subtitles ('Star Trek: The Next Generation'; 'Star Trek: Voyager'), the new series is simply called 'Star Trek'.
It'll premiere in 2017 on CBS in the US. There's no word on which broadcaster will show it in the UK, but expect a fierce bidding war.
The new series is under the guidance of Bryan Fuller, who created 'Hannibal'.
When it was announced that Fuller would be taking the reigns of the reboot, he said: "It is without exaggeration a dream come true to be crafting a brand new iteration of 'Star Trek' with fellow franchise alum Alex Kurtzman and boldly going where no 'Star Trek' series has gone before."
