EE has once again come out on top in RootMetric's analysis of the best mobile broadband providers.
The company earned four out of six UK-wide RootScore awards - more than any other operator.
EE came out on top in the overall performance, network speed and data performance categories.
Meanwhile, it achieved joint first place in the text performance category with Vodafone.
"EE’s performance in UK-wide testing in the first half of 2017 remained impressive," the RootMetrics report said.
"EE has now won the UK Overall RootScore Award outright eight consecutive times, dating back to when we began testing the entirety of the UK in the second half of 2013."
Three UK also performed well in the research, taking top spot in the reliability and calls categories.
Scott Stonham, general manager of Europe for RootMetrics, commented: "These latest results have really shaken things up and show the increasing competitiveness in the UK, particularly over the last six months".
"EE continues to lead the way, but Three and Vodafone are close behind."
Mr Stonham added that British consumers have "strong mobile options depending on how and where they use their devices most".
