Sky and TalkTalk customers in parts of south and central London were hit by a broadband outage last night (August 10th).

Services were affected after several core fibre optic cables were damaged, although the cause of the damage has not yet been revealed.

Sky and TalkTalk are continuing to work to restore services in affected areas, which include Tulse Hill, Battersea, Balham, Brixton, Nine Elms, Streatham, Dulwich, Vauxhall, South Clapham and Forest Hill.

Engineers have worked overnight to try to get broadband services back up and running, but there is no estimate of when the work is likely to be completed.

Both Sky and TalkTalk have apologised to customers for the disruption.
