Sky has added a raft of new games to its Sky Kids app, featuring many of their favourite characters.

This includes SpongeBob Chess from Nicktoons, the Peppa Pig Memory Game from Nick Jr, Bubble Guppies Popathon from Nick Jr and Tulli Missing Shapes from Baby TV.

Other new additions include Henry Danger Target Practice from Nickelodeon, Ben 10 Diamondhead Shoot from Cartoon Network and The Loud House Food Fight from Nickelodeon.

Children can also enjoy activities featuring the Sky Buddies, characters on the app who help parents create bespoke profiles for their kids.

Additional games will be rolled out in the coming months, including the Sky Kids Art Studio, which will let youngsters channel their creative and artistic skills.

According to Lucy Murphy, Head of Kids Content at Sky, the Sky Kids app has proved very popular with children and parents, with more than half a million registering to use it since its launch last year.

"It’s a great way to keep kids entertained, and now with new games to play and more being added every month, they have another fun way to dive into the worlds of their favourite characters," she commented.

"And as mums and dads know that it’s a safe and secure environment, everyone’s happy."

Sky Kids also contains more than 4,500 episodes of popular children's shows, including Boomerang's Scooby-Doo, Aliens Love Underpants And..., Morph and Big Cats: Wild Files.

An age profile can be set for each individual child, to ensure they are only accessing age-suitable programmes, while parents can also set a time when the app automatically switches off.
