Sky Q customers will be able to enjoy a raft of new features before the end of the month.
Among the upgrades is an enhanced Voice Control facility, which enables viewers to give verbal instructions to their television.
For instance, they can simply say "change channel to Sky Atlantic" if they wish to switch over to the channel, or "watch from the start" if they have missed the first few minutes of their favourite programme.
People can also use the Voice Control function to change their accessibility settings, using their voice to turn on features such as Audio Description.
This builds on the success of the existing voice search function, which has been used by Sky Q customers more than nine million times since its launch earlier this year.
A bespoke Favourites menu in the TV guide is also being unveiled as part of this latest update.
This gives customers the ability to prioritise their favourite channels, selecting up to 99 options and placing them into whatever order they prefer.
This will make it quick and easy for households to select their most-loved channels, while the list can be easily edited if necessary.
According to Sky, these latest changes give customers more control and personalisation than ever before.
Luke Bradley-Jones, Chief Marketing Officer at the firm, commented: "Our customers already love Voice Search on Sky Q and we think they are going to love Voice Control even more.
"You will be able to find your recordings, rewind an amazing goal to watch again or change channel all through a simple voice command. It’s a quicker, easier and more fun way to get to the shows, sports and films you want to watch."
Another upgrade is available for customers with a 2TB box, as it will soon provide access to a dedicated Ultra HD section in My Q, enabling people to find UHD content faster and more easily.
This includes 124 Premier League games, blockbuster movies including X-Men: Apocalypse and original Sky productions such as Tin Star and Riviera.
