Sky Sports Arena is to be rebranded as Sky Sports Darts HD for three weeks to mark the World Darts Championship.

The channel will showcase 21 days of darts-related programming from December 14th to January 3rd.

This will mark 25 years of Sky Sports having the rights to show the World Darts Championship.

Dave Clark, a presenter on Sky Sports, commented: "I can't wait for the worlds to get started. I think this year's tournament will be the biggest and best yet."

One notable feature of this year's tournament will be the final appearance of 16-time world champion Phil 'The Power' Taylor.

Sky Sports Darts will mark the occasion by screening an hour-long documentary about the legendary player, entitled Phil Taylor the Greatest, which features him talking about his life and career.

"'The Power' will want to go out on a high but he'll have the next class of world champions snapping at his heels," Clark continued.

"It's going to make for addictive viewing."

Darts fans without a Sky Sports subscription can still follow the action by purchasing daily, weekly or monthly sports passes from NOW TV.
