TalkTalk broadband customers across the UK experienced a loss of service yesterday afternoon (November 29th).

Subscribers in locations including London, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham reported that they were unable to get online.

Engineers were deployed to identify and correct the problem and were able to get services back up and running.

The outage comes shortly after TalkTalk revealed that during the six months to September 30th, it attracted 46,000 new broadband customers.

This compares with 29,000 during the same period of the previous year and means it has seen three consecutive quarters of growth in its broadband base.
