EE has managed to restore services after its customer service platforms experienced an outage.

On January 2nd, a technical issue led to customers being unable to call EE or use the My EE service.

However, the company confirmed that the fault did not affect its mobile or broadband networks, with call, data and messaging services all operating as normal.

EE was eventually able to restore services, both on its 150 support number and online, but warned the outage could lead to delays in connecting to its teams.

"We are making support available as quickly as we can," EE said.

The company apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage and thanked customers for their patience while it "worked through this complex system failure".
