Virgin Media has restored broadband services after they temporarily went down this morning (January 4th).
Customers turned to Twitter to report a loss of service, with Down Detector saying more than 500 complaints had been made by 8am.
However, Virgin Media was able to resolve the issue by 9am.
A spokesperson commented: "We were aware of an issue affecting broadband services for some of our customers in Nottingham, Grimsby and Lincoln which has now been resolved.
"We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused."
Virgin Media has more than five million broadband subscribers in the UK, with an extra 51,800 people signing up during Q3 2017.
Some 64 per cent of Virgin Media broadband customers now take speeds of 100Mbps or more, compared with 51 per cent a year ago, while 41 per cent now have its best-in-class Wi-Fi router.
