Virgin Media customers in Glasgow took to Twitter last night to complain about a broadband and TV outage.

Services went down at around 5pm last night (Jan 9th), with customers struggling to get online or access any TV channels.

A spokesperson later confirmed there was a power issue at one of its technical sites, which impacted broadband and TV services in the area.

Virgin Media apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused, but was able to resolve the issue by 9.14pm.

This comes several days after a separate outage that affected Virgin Media customers in Nottingham, Grimsby and Lincoln.

On the morning of January 4th, customers again turned to Twitter to report a loss of service, with Down Detector saying more than 500 complaints had been made by 8am.
