Vodafone is offering new and upgrading broadband customers what it says is "the ultimate speed guarantee".
From March 1st, subscribers to its Superfast 1 package will be guaranteed a minimum speed of 25Mbps, while people on the Superfast 2 package will be guaranteed a minimum speed of 55Mbps.
Vodafone is so confident of delivering on this promise that it has said customers will get 15 per cent off their monthly bill if it ever falls short.
If broadband speeds do fall below the guaranteed level, customers can claim via the Vodafone Broadband app.
The speed guarantee will also be offered to small business customers, regardless of whether they are based in an office at home or work in a dedicate off-site space.
Nick Jeffery, Chief Executive of Vodafone UK, commented: "Whether running a family or a small business, customers want guaranteed broadband speeds they can rely on.
"So whether it’s mum, dad and the kids streaming the latest blockbuster on movie night, or a small business owner video-conferencing with clients, they’ll be able to count on us."
This comes shortly after Vodafone revealed it saw a further increase in its broadband customer base between October and December 2017.
The provider attracted an additional 39,000 broadband customers during the quarter, taking its overall number of subscribers up to 316,000.
This was higher than the rate of growth seen in the previous quarter, when Vodafone's broadband base grew by 33,000.
