The iPhone 6 is the large iPhone everyone was waiting for. It's not just bigger. It's better.
Bigger doesn't always mean better. But there's no doubt it does with the iPhone 6. With a larger 4.7-inch screen, a more powerful processor and a terrific camera, this is the iPhone where Apple really pulled out all the stops. And at just 6.9mm thin, it still manages to be the slimmest iPhone so far.
What's so great about the iPhone 6's 4.7-inch Retina HD screen? Well, it's brilliant for video, for one thing. Packing in 401 pixels per inch, it serves up the crispest images around to bring everything you watch to life. That goes from Hollywood blockbusters to scratchy YouTube clips.
Perhaps more amazing, though, is that Apple has expanded the screen but still made it easy to use with one hand. How? By rethining the button layout. And by introducing a special one-handed mode that brings the features at the upper edge of the screen further down, so you can reach them at all times. Even if you've got tiny fingers.
Keen on photography? Good news. The iPhone 6's eight-megapixel iSight camera's 1.5-micron pixels and ƒ/2.2 aperture now comes with a sensor that focuses almost instantaneously on your subjects. Better still, you get all-new face detection technology and exposure controls, so you can almost guarantee great snaps even if you're a less able snapper.
And if video is more your thing, you're also catered for. For the first time, the iPhone 6 now lets you record slow-motion footage at 240 frames per second (fps), as well as 1080 HD footage at 30fps and even knock up time-lapse clips.
Super-fast connectively comes as standard, of course. The iPhone 6 is compatible with the fastest 4G LTE networks for mobile internet speeds of up to 150Mbps, depending on your network. Because the iPhone 6 connects to the new 802.11ac wireless standard, wireless speeds are three times faster than the iPhone 5S too.
Apple hasn't skimped on power either. With an A8 processor and M8 motion co-processor, there's no slowdown at all when you're multi-tasking. And because the procesors are energy-efficient they also help boost battery life.
Completing the iPhone 6's feature set is 16GB of onboard storage, anti-smudge oleophobic coating, shatter-proof glass, one-touch payments with your handset, iOS and advanced health-monitoring technology when paired with wearable accessories.
