EE has announced it is to offer its customers free access to the tech giant's Apple Music service.
The Spotify rival is booming in popularity right now, with a growing user base and impressive exclusives including the latest Frank Ocean album.
So how do you qualify? Is it for new customers only? And what's Britney Spears got to do with any of this?
Here’s everything you need to know.
Six months free, no strings
EE’s offer, as outlined in the ad above starring Our Britney and Kevin Bacon, entitles customers to a hefty six months of free Apple Music access. That’s twice as much as Apple offers as standard to new subscribers.
After that initial period, the price rises to £9.99 a month. However, if you don’t fancy stumping up every four weeks, you can cancel your Apple Music subscription without paying any penalty and keep your EE contract.
It's not just for iPhone owners
Just because it’s Apple’s streaming service doesn’t mean that only iPhone-owners can join the party. EE’s offer works on the Apple Music app for Google Android too.
So you can still take advantage of the deal even if you’re not keen on snapping up Apple’s smartphone.
SIM–only customers qualify too
Perhaps the best aspect of Apple and EE’s deal is the fact that SIM–only customers also benefit.
That means that even if you pay for a cheap deal and don’t get a new phone from the network, you can still get Apple Music for nothing. Seems like a no-brainer for us.
You'll need to be a new or upgrading customer
Here’s the rub. If you’re already on EE, you’re going to need to upgrade to get Apple Music for nothing.
However, new customers will get the service as standard.
The deal starts from September 1st, so hang fire for a week before you call your existing network and tell them it’s time to say goodbye.
EE isn't scrapping any existing perks
EE is destroying the competition at the moment when it comes to free perks for its customers.
