On cold wintry nights it’s hard to motivate yourself to leave the snug of your home.
But Samsung, for one, seems determined to get you out of the house, with its Unbox your Tickets promotion that gives you free gig tickets worth up to £140 when you buy one of its flagship smartphones.
Naturally, uSwitch is participating, so if buy a Note 8, S8 and S8 Plus from participating networks and retailers, you're entitled to your tickets. But that still leaves a few questions.
Not least, which artistes and gigs are included? Which networks are participating? And how do you claim the tickets once you’ve bought your phone?

Which Samsung Galaxy phones are included?
To be eligible for your free tickets you’ve got to buy a new Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, Note 8 or Galaxy Tab S3 tablet from a participating retailer, either online, in-store or through a call centre.
The offer doesn’t apply on refurbished phones, which are deemed to be second-hand.

Which networks and retailers are participating?
Naturally when you buy you buy a Galaxy S8, S8 Plus or Note 8 from the following networks, through uSwitch, you’ll qualify for your free tickets:
- BT Mobile
- Carphone Warehouse
- Tesco Mobile
- Virgin Mobile
- Mobile Phones Direct
The only notable omission is Vodafone, which isn’t participating.
Retailers participating are:

- Curry’s PC World
- Samsung Experience Store
- Samsung Shop Online
- Amazon UK
How do I claim the tickets?
First up, complete the purchase of the phone. Then you’ll just need to log in to the Samsung Members App on your phone and click the banner marked ‘Unbox your Tickets’. From there you can start your claim.
You’ll then need to select the tab labelled Ticket Offer and click ‘Claim Now’. From there, you’ll be presented with a claim form to fill in.
As part of the process, you’ll be asked for your IMEI number. That’s the identifying number that’s specific to your smartphone.
The easiest way to find your IMEI, is to open up the phone app on your smartphone and type in *06# using the keyboard. The IMEI number will then appear on your screen straightaway.
The critical thing is that you get your application in before the promotion end date of 25th February 2018.
How do I know if my claim has been successful?
After submitting your claim, you’ll get an email from the gig promoter to confirm it’s been received.
If it’s been successful, you’ll get another email and text message within two days of submitting your claim. This will contain a unique code that you can use to claim your tickets.
What about claiming the tickets?
So your claim’s been successful and you’ve got your ticket code. You can now use the code to choose the gig you want to go to.
You’ve got until 4th March to to use the code. So you’ll be need to quick, or you’ll miss out.
