It's also home to a panoramic mode, phase detection autofocus and HDR, as well as an equally good 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
All-day battery with fast charge mode
The large 2,770 mAh battery on the Pixel offers all day power. And if you are ever in need of a quick boost, it has a fast charge facility that will let you get a good 7 hours of phone use from a 15 minute charge.
Choice of storage and colours
Google offers two colour choices on the Pixel: black and grey.
You can also choose between 32GB and 128GB of built in storage.
Unlimited storage for photos and videos
Even if you choose the highest memory capacity, you may want more storage for pictures, video and files. With the Pixel, you get as much as you want with unlimited Google cloud storage.
With 100 languages and the abilities to search the web and manage your phone, the Google voice activated assistant is a helpful thing to have in your pocket, and comes as standard on the Pixel.
Large Quad HD screen
The Quad HD AMOLED 5.5-inch screen is made from robust Corning Gorilla Glass and offers impressive viewing angles.
The Pixel's exterior is all-metal and feels very premium.
For extra security, you can activate the fingerprint recognition at the back of the phone, so it can only be unlocked by your fingerprint.
Google Duo app built-in
Google's Duo app is built in to the Pixel, giving you video and voice calling capabilities, no matter what device the person you want to call is using.
Android Nougat and quad-core processor
With a split screen mode and advanced light setting for use before bed, there are a whole range of features you get with the Pixel thanks to Android Nougat.
The powerful quad-core processor keeps it ticking over smoothly, even when you're running multiple apps simultaneously.
