The Google Pixel XL combines Android Nougat OS with two highly-rated cameras and a fingerprint scanner. And it's equipped with a large 5.5-inch screen and the Google Assistant voice commands app too.

12-megapixel camera

Leading camera ratings authority DxOMark gave the Google Pixel XL’s rear camera a score of 89. That means it's the highest rated ever on a smartphone.

The XL’s 12-megapixel rear camera comes with range of features to help you get goot shots, including including laser autofocus and LED flash. The camera also lets you take a burst of shots quickly and then has the ability to intelligently determine the best one.

The 8-megapixel front camera is ideal for taking selfies and video calls.

All-day battery with fast charge mode

The Pixel XL's battery lasts for a whole day on a single charge. It's also equipped with a with ‘fast charging’ mode that lets you get seven hours of use from a 15-minute charge.

Choice of storage and colours

The Google Pixel XL is available in classic black and grey and two storage options. If you just want to carry a decent amount of apps, you should find the 32GB model to be more than enough. But if you're a heavy user and like a lot of onboard storage, you might want to opt for the 128GB version.

Unlimited storage for photos and videos

The Pixel XL also comes with unlimited Google cloud storage – handy for those who regularly fill their phone up with videos, photos, and music.

Google Assistant

Google Assistant comes pre-installed on the Pixel XL. It is voice-activated and enables you to manage tasks, perform searches, get directions, and set reminders using your voice alone.

Large Quad HD screen

The Pixel XL's screen is made from Corning Gorilla Glass, so it's robust and resists scratches and damage. The high end Quad HD AMOLED 5.5-inch capacitative display can show up to 16.77 million colours.

All-metal construction

The Pixel XL has the same aluminium build as the high-end phones made by HTC, so it feels satisfyingly weighty in the hand.

Fingerprint security

A rear fingerprint scanner adds a extra layer of security to the Pixel XL.

Google Duo app built-in

The Google Duo video calling comes pre-installed on all Pixel XL phones.

Android Nougat and quad-core processor

The Pixel XL has been designed to cope well with multitasking and features a powerful quad-core Qualcomm processor, as well as the Nougat version of Android.
