A quad core processor, an ultra-resilient, large screen and iOS 10 combine to make the water-resistant iPhone 7 Plus a best-in-class smartphone.
Perhaps the standout feature of the iPhone 7 Plus are its camera capabiliites. As well as the 12-megapixel rear camera found on the standard iPhone 7, the Plus second 12-megapixel telefoto camera that offers 10x digital zoom on stills and 6x zoom for video.
Both main cameras also take advantage of features like touch focus, phase detection autofocus and smile detection. And around the front of the phone, there's a 7-megapixel camera for selfies and FaceTime video calls.
Like the iPhone 6 and 6s Plus before it, the iPhone 7 Plus features a resilient Retina display that comes in at 5.5 inches. The difference is that this time it's 25% brighter, so it's easy to see in bright sunlight and really brings videos to life.
In a first for Apple, the iPhone 7 Plus is water-resistant too and can be submerged in a metre of water for up to half an hour and come out right as rain.
To keep things ticking over, the iPhone 7 Plus is fitted with an A10 Fusion processor and 6-core GPU. And it has 3GB of RAM too – 1GB more than the standard iPhone 7.
Additional features include iOS 10, Lightning connection headphones, up to 21 hours of talk time, Apple Pay and fingerprint recognition. It also has a smart home button, and enhanced on board speakers.
