FreedomPop is the first UK network to offer customers a monthly allowance of calls, data and texts completely free of charge.
Aimed at light users, its standard free package entitles customers to monthly allowances of 200 minutes, 200 texts and 200MB of data a month and is free for life.
It also offers paid-for contracts, which offer more generous allowances.
Founded in the US in Los Angeles in 2011 where it uses the Sprint network, FreedomPop launched a UK service in 2015.
In 2016, it announced its first SIM aimed at travellers which offers free mobile data in 25 countries.

FreedomPop's standard free deal offers 200 minutes, 200 texts and 200MB of data a month.
Opt for one of its paid-for deals and you can get 1GB of data, 1,000 texts and 1,000 minutes per month for a monthly outlay of £8.99.
Alternatively, 2GB of data, unlimited calls and unlimited text messages costs £11.99 a month.
Customers on FreedomPop's free plan can buy extra data for 1.5p per MB. Those on the paid plans are charged 1p per MB.
FreedomPop's service is based on Three's network. Voted the UK's most reliable network for mobile internet, Three's coverage extends to 97 per cent of the UK population.
