1) Check you’re eligible to switch from VOXI
If you’re out of contract with VOXI, you’re free to switch any time you like and it won’t cost you anything.
We all know it’s very easy to lose track of your contract end date, though. The good news is that it’s also very easy to get hold of it.
You can either call VOXI's customer support team on 191 on your Voxi phone. Or on 03333 040 191 from any other phone (standard network charges apply).
Opening hours are 8am-9pm every day.
If you’re not in the mood to pick up the phone, you can also find out your contract end date by logging in to your VOXI account.
And if you’re interested in switching but want a bit more information first, text INFO to 85075.
2) Contact VOXI to cancel your contract and get a PAC Code
Now’s the time to let VOXI know that you’d like to leave. To do this, just text PAC to 65075 to get your PAC code. It’s this short, alphanumeric code that will enable you to transfer your existing phone number to the network you want to join. You don't even need to make a phone call.
If you'd prefer to speak to somebody, just give VOXI a call, tell them you'd like to leave and request your PAC code.
The law states that networks must provide you with a PAC Code within two hours of your request.
Once you’ve got your PAC Code, you’ve got 30 days to use it. After which point it expires and you’ll need to request a new one.
3) Find and buy a deal from Sky Mobile
Cleared to switch? Smashing news. Your next task is to select a deal from Sky Mobile and sign up for it through uSwitch.
Sky Mobile will then carry out some credit checks, after which point you’ll be sent your phone or SIM in the post.
4) Contact Sky Mobile to give them your PAC Code
Got your PAC Code to hand? Okay, your next task is to ring Sky Mobile and give it to them.
The number to call is 03300 412 524 (standard network charges apply). The Sky Mobile call centre is open 8.30am-11pm every day.
5) Insert your Sky Mobile SIM
It’s zero hour. If you got a new phone, it's time to take your pin-key and unlock the handset's SIM tray. Then insert your Sky Mobile SIM.
If you bought a SIM only deal, you can just put the Sky Mobile SIM in your existing phone.
Your number won’t be transferred straightaway. But while the transfer is underway, you’ll be given a temporary number. So you’ll still be able to use your phone.
6) Wait for your number to be transferred to Sky Mobile
Number transfers are usually complete the next working day. But the time it takes depends on the network and whether weekends get in the way. In which case it may take a little bit longer.
Once it's done, you're good to go.
