1) Check you’re eligible to switch from talkmobile
If you’re out of contract with Talkmobile, you’re free to switch whenever you like and it won’t cost you anything.
To check your contract status or find out your contract end date, get in touch with talkmobile’s customer support team on 5888 from your talkmobile phone. Or 0333 304 8064 from any other phone (standard network charges apply).
Opening hours are 8am-7pm Monday-Friday. 9am-6pm on Saturday. 10am-5pm on Sunday.
If you’d prefer not to call, you can also get your contract end date by logging into your Talkmobile account. Or by opening up the talkmobile app on your phone.
-
2) Contact talkmobile to cancel and get your PAC Code
Next on the to-do list is to contact Talkmobile and tell them you’d like to leave. You can get in touch with them on the contact numbers listed in step 1.
While you’re talking to the customer support team, you’ll also need to ask for a PAC Code.
What’s a PAC Code, you say? It’s a short sequence of numbers and letters that you’ll need to give to the network you’re planning to join, so that they can transfer your existing telephone number.
PAC Codes expire after 30 days, which means you’ll need to use yours within this timeframe. If for any reason you’re not able to, you’ll have to contact talkmobile again to request a new one.

3) Find and buy a SIM from VOXI
Right, so you’re sure you’re of contract. The next step is to select a SIM-only deal from VOXI and sign up for it through Uswitch.
VOXI will carry out some credit checks. Once they're out of the way, you’ll receive your SIM card in the post.
-
4) Contact VOXI to give them your PAC Code
Not long to go now. Your next task is to ring VOXI to tell them your PAC Code.
Get in touch over the phone on 03333 040 191. The call centre’s opening hours are 8am-9pm every day.
-
5) Insert the VOXI SIM card in your phone
Using a pin-key, open up the SIM tray on the side of your phone and insert your Voxi SIM.
Your number won’t be transferred straightaway. But while you’re waiting, you’ll be given a temporary number, so you’ll still be able to use your phone.
-
6) Wait for your number to be transferred
The time it takes to transfer a number varies from network to network. But unless a weekend gets in the way, your number transfer should be complete the next working day.
Once that’s done, you’re good to go.
