Multi-million pound campaign unveiled for Nokia 5800

Nokia is ramping up publicity for its 5800 XpressMusic handset, with a multi-million pound campaign due to commence next month.

The campaign will comprise outdoor, cinema, online and TV advertising to raise awareness of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which is Nokia’s first-ever touchscreen operated mobile phone.

Meanwhile, the floor of Nokia’s flagship branch in Regent Street in London is currently home to a touch sensitive dancefloor akin that triggers a multi-sensory experience.

Nokia UK marketing director Will Harris said: “This major initiative will get everyone moving along to buy this stunning device.

“It reinforces Nokia’s close association with music, fun, dance and entertainment and gets our year off to a great, high energy start.”

News of the campaign comes as a launch party for the Nokia XpressMusic held last night at Punk nightclub attracted appearances from Lady Ga Ga, Paris Hilton and the star of Nokia’s viral campaign George Sampson.
