The Nokia 5030 will be available from the second quarter of the year and will be part of the company’s XpressMusic range, it has been announced.
Running on Symbian Series 30, the new phone will be equipped with a host of music-focussed functions, the Finnish mobile phone giant has revealed, including an internal FM radio antenna.
Also included are one-channel selection keys for the radio as well as an MP3 player and a large speaker at the rear of the handset.
However, given that the phone is a budget range it will not be equipped with a camera.
The 5030 will be joined by two other new additions of the XpressMusic range in the form of the Nokia 5330 and Nokia 5370.
Nokia spokesperson Jo Harlow said: “We've sold more than 425 million devices with a digital music player and more than 700 million devices with an FM radio, which clearly shows that the mobile phone is the natural device for listening to the music and carrying it with you.”
