The brand new Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra Edition handset is expected to be available on Vodafone on March 19th, it has been reported.
Samsung’s handset is the North Korean’s latest entry into ever more crowded touchscreen mobile phone market.
However, the phone is notable among rival touchscreen handsets for offering a choice of user interfaces, with owners able to use either a touchscreen or a full slide-out Qwerty keyboard, which is intended to make it easy to enter large amounts of text.
Samsung has also included a high-grade eight megapixel camera, a media player and a web browser with HSDPA compatibility for fast downloads.
Further news of Vodafone’s handset line-up for 2009 comes after the company this week added the Sony Ericsson W175 Walkman phone to its range.
This is a music-focussed handset, with functions such as TrackID, SensMe and shake control and also offers access to the Vodafone Music download service.
