The LG Cookie has exceeded expectations to record sales of over two million units, it has been revealed.
A statement from the Korean mobile phone company revealed that the Cookie has attained the landmark in just six months.
Mobile phone industry experts perceive that its success has been driven by the phone’s attractive looks and keen price, as well as the range of colours in which it was made available.
Dr. Skott Ahn, president and chief executive officer of LG Electronics, said: “LG wanted to allow more people to benefit from the advanced touch technology that we have introduced in previous touchscreen handsets.
“Because of our extensive background in touchscreen handsets, we are now able to bring this innovative technology to consumers at an affordable price without compromising on feature quality.”
Sales were impressive across the globe, with European buyers accounting for 1.2 million of the total and 600,000 takers located in Latin America.
