A new, Samsung streamlined mobile phone designed specifically for older users is set for release in selected territories this year, it has been revealed.
Dubbed the C3060R, the phone will feature a candybar form factor, instead of a slider shape, to make it easier for people with joint problems and impaired motor functions to use.
Samsung has also incorporated simplified menus with just five options visible on the display and large, easy-to-read text.
Other features of the C3060R include an SOS key to allow owners to summon assistance, a large 2.2-inch display, an FM radio, WAP browser and a 1.3 megapixel camera.
Details of a UK release, price points or network carriers have yet to be confirmed.
Other flagship new mobile phone launches due from Samsung this year include two Android powered smartphones and a 12 megapixel cameraphone.
