Widely circulated online, the hack is the work of a mysterious tech genius. And apparently it allows users to use their handset as a dongle on the O2 network for a charge of absolutely nothing. That’s nought pence. Free to you, Mister.
But it’s a hell of a risk for owners of the handset to take. Although we’ve yet to see any official retaliation from O2 and Apple, there’s no way that they’re going to take this lying down. Is the chance of them blocking the phone – and leaving you with a very expensive brick – really worth it?
