Speculation is mounting that the HTC Hero is due imminently, with the news that the Android mobile phone has been certified for release by an industry body.
The approval of the new mobile phone by the Global Certification Forum (GCF) comes just one day ahead of an HTC mystery press conference to be held tomorrow (June 24th).
Industry experts have forecasted that the event will mark the official unveiling of the mobile telephone, which will be the third HTC- manufactured phone to employ Google’s operating system.
The Hero’s predecessors were the HTC Magic, which is exclusive to Vodafone, and the hugely successful, one million-selling T-Mobile G1.
Confirmed specifications for the Hero are thin on the ground, but is known that the new mobile phone will utilise HTC’s TouchFlo 3D user interface and will offer HSDPA support for fast downloads.
Leaked photos of the new mobile phone also suggest that it will be available in a range of colour options.
