The Nokia N97 will go on sale on contract deals in just seven days time, as the Finnish manufacturer gears up for a handset battle royale with Apple’s iPhone 3G S.
Touted by many as the handset launch of the year, Nokia’s new mobile phone is expected to draw huge queues of early adopters at retail outlets on its official release date on contract deals of June 26th.
However, buyers can guarantee they get their hands on the N97 by pre-ordering now through Top 10 Mobile Phones. Pending stock shortages, they can expect to receive the phone within 24 hours of receipt of their order.
Features of the touchscreen-operated handset include 32GB of internal memory, a five megapixel camera, a full, slide-out Qwerty keyboard.
Meanwhile, in a move that initially caused consternation among network carriers, Skype is pre-installed on the device– potentially allowing users to dramatically cut their outgoings on calls.
Nokia is also rumoured to be planning a scaled-down version of the N97, provisionally dubbed the N97 Mini.
