The forthcoming Dell smartphone has been developed in conjunction with China Mobile and will support apps, it has been revealed.
Speaking to the AFP news agency, a spokesperson for the network disclosed that the phone will be compatible with China Mobile’s Mobile Market.
This feature is deemed critical to the chances of the Dell mobile competing in the crowded marketplace for high-end handsets.
Over the last year there has been huge demand for downloading apps from the Apple App Store for iPhones and Google’s Android Market.
The spokesperson did not reveal when the phone is due to go on sale but it is known that the handset will be available initially in China before being granted a European release.
