The LG GD901 watch mobile phone will be available from August 27th on Orange, it has been confirmed.
First unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February, the LG watch phone is one of the most anticipated handset launches of the year.
Consumers will initially only be able to buy the LG GD901 from the Orange store in London’s Bond Street, with limited stocks ensuring it is sure to be highly sought-after.
However, as of mid-September it will go on wider release and will be on sale at the Orange website.
Francois Mahieu, director of devices for Orange, told the Times: "The LG touch-screen watch phone is one of several ‘future phones’ we’re bringing to UK consumers this year.
"Being handmade, the device really is highly original and exclusively limited, so you’ll be the envy of all your friends if you’re fortunate enough to get your hands on one."
Set to retail at £500, features of the LG watch mobile phone include a 1.4-inch touchscreen, onboard music player, voice recognition, a text to speech function and a VGA camera.
