Anticipation is building around the Nokia N97 Mini edition mobile phone, fuelled by the leak of what is purported to be an official photograph of the handset.
The photo of the forthcoming mobile phone – which looks to be around 20 per cent smaller than the original N97 - has been unearthed by French technology website Be Geek, which was also the source of earlier images of the phone.
Nokia has still, however, to officially confirm the existence of a slimmed down version of the N97 smartphone.
Consequently, details and specifications for the new phone have to be established but it is thought that it will feature 280Mb of memory – compared with 50Mb for the original version.
Pictures of the phone also indicate that Nokia has done away with the sliding cover for the built in camera, as well as the D-Pad with which N97 users are able to access the handset’s functions.
