HTC has showcased a brand new touchscreen mobile phone running the latest version of Windows Mobile, set for release next month.
Due to appear in stores on October 6th, the HTC Touch2 will team Windows Mobile 6.5 and HTC’s patented TouchFlo user interface to deliver a next-generation mobile experience.
The updated version of the Windows Mobile operating system differs from previous editions with the addition of new services such as MyPhone and Windows Marketplace.
Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer of HTC, said: “The HTC Touch2 delivers a familiar touch experience that millions of people have come to expect and rely on from HTC in their daily lives.
“Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control.”
The addition of the Touch2 to HTC’s release schedule comes as the Taiwanese company is enjoying a period of previously unseen mass market popularity thanks to the huge sales success of its Android mobile phones.
