The highly sought-after Nokia N97 Mini mobile phone has appeared on the Vodafone network’s site with a mooted release date of October.
Visitors to the site cannot currently pre-order the slimmed down version of the N97 phone, but can register for e-mail updates.
No price details are yet available, but it is likely that the handset will appear solely on contract deals initially.
Features of the N97 Mini, which is around 20 per cent smaller than its predecessor, include a touchscreen user interface and a full, slide-out QWERTY keyboard to make it easy to input large amounts of text.
The new mobile phone will also offer owners a widget-based homescreen to allow them to customise their layout and pre-installed social networking applications.
Other key mobile launches from the Finnish company for 2009 include the hugely powerful N900 smartphone and the eye-catching Nokia X6.
