After much speculation, Sony Ericsson has officially unveiled its motion-activated, autoplay headphones, which it has claimed will ‘change the way you listen to music forever”.
The MH907 Motion Activated Headphones employ Sony Ericsson’s patented SensMe technology and start playing music as soon as both earphones are placed in users’ ears. Stopping the music is simply a case of removing one of the headphones.
This control system also applies when making and taking calls, with the phones placed in the ear to take a call and taken out when ending a conversation.
Jacob Sten, Senior Vice President at SEMC Accessories, said: “With the MH907 consumers can pocket their phone but still stay connected all day, every day by simply plugging in or removing their earbuds – there is no need for a remote control or any buttons.
“The MH907 supports our realigned brand strategy, which aims to build a fun, playful and inclusive interaction with consumers.”
News of developments at Sony Ericsson comes as it is preparing a number of flagship mobile phone launches this year, including the Xperia X2 and the Pureness.
