The Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Android mobile phone will appear early next year, it has been claimed, just a matter of months after the mooted launch date for the Xperia X2
According to a report from Mobile Crunch, the third in Sony Ericsson’s range of high-end mobiles and the first of its phones to utilise Google’s operating system will arrive on January 10th next year.
Features of the upcoming mobile phone include an impressively large four inch touchscreen and a high grade eight megapixel camera with autofocus.
The handset is also home to a 3.5mm headset to enable quality stereo headphones to be used and a newly developed user interface which will work in conjunction with Android.
In order allow buyers to make the most of all the phone’s functions and use them simultaneously, Sony Ericsson has also equipped the Xperia X3 with a powerful 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
The Windows Mobile-powered Xperia X2, meanwhile, is to go on sale exclusively on Vodafone during October.
