The latest Android mobile phone from HTC, the HTC Tattoo, will be available on Vodafone from October, it has been announced.
Pricing for the upcoming mobile phone has yet to be confirmed but the fact that the phone has been touted as a budget handset suggests that it will be on offer for considerably less than earlier Android mobile phones.
Features of the Tattoo, which is the smallest mobile yet to employ Google’s operating system, include a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus as well as a four way circular navigation system and HTC’s patented Sense touchscreen user interface.
The phone will also boast a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor and a host of pre-installed Google applications, such as Facebook and GoogleMaps.
Industry experts predict that the Tattoo could be the handset to bring Android phones to mass market mobile buyers who are likely to have been put off by the higher price points of the HTC Magic and the HTC Hero.
