LG could be planning a second watch phone as well as a raft of new Android mobile phones, it has emerged.
According to Electricpig.co.uk, the company’s plans were disclosed to a Fonehome representative by LG’s UK sales and marketing director John Barton.
Mr Barton told the site that more styles of watch phone are on the way from LG, but did not disclose whether these would be variants with purely cosmetic differences to its existing LG GD910 or a genuinely new models.
He was, however, more forthcoming on the matter of LG’s plans to capitalise on the burgeoning market for Android mobiles and confirmed that the company’s debut on the platform the LG GW620 will be joined by another touchscreen phone employing the operating system next year.
It is not yet known whether this will be the forthcoming Snapdragon processor-powered Android handset announced earlier this week by a South Korean LG executive.
The GW620, previously codenamed the Etna, is due to go on sale in the UK in time for Christmas and will feature a five megapixel camera, a touchscreen user interface and advanced social networking functions.
