Palm Pre owners have reportedly lost data as a result of a glitch with the smartphone maker’s cloud back-up service.
According to Palm, only US Pre users have been affected by the problem with just a small number of cases have been recorded.
The issue, which has seen people lose memos, tasks and calendars, occurs when handset users reset their phone and then try to restore the information they have backed up.
An official statement from Palm read: “Palm is aware that a small number of customers have experienced issues transferring their Palm Profile information to another Palm webOS device.
“Palm and Sprint are working closely together to support these customers to successfully transfer their information to the new device.”
The data loss is the second to have affected US mobile phone owners in recent months.
In October, T-Mobile Sidekick users temporarily lost files containing photographs, online calendars and contact lists.
