The Creative Zii Trinity could in theory surpass the current iPhone if it ever comes to market.
Utilising a 3.1 inch OLED touchscreen, the Zii Trinity will reportedly allow for full HD 1080p video playback on its high resolution display. It will also be multi-touch sensitive and sport a five megapixel camera.
This smartphone will use the Google Android operating system, although there are fears that the reference model will not be picked up by any manufacturers, potentially condemning the Zii Trinity to the history books.
The main issue is considered to be the fact that big-name manufacturers who might be interested in producing the Zii Trinity, including Samsung and LG, have a duty to support and develop their own smartphone ranges and screen technologies.
There is a chance that a smaller firm could back the Zii Trinity and produce something based on its promise over the next few months, but with a new edition of the iPhone on the horizon and rumours of a dedicated Google phone too persistent to be baseless, the Zii Trinity could be obsolete before it arrives.
