Photos of a new Samsung mobile phone running Android have surfaced online.

Dubbed the Saturn i6500, the new Android mobile has been unearthed by Mobile-Review.com.

Images show a handset that eschews a slide-out QWERTY keyboard in favour of a fully touchscreen user interface and minimal navigation keys on the exterior.

Samsung has already brought an Android phone to market in the form of the Galaxy with a stripped down version thereof, the Galaxy Lite expected to go on sale in the UK early next year.

Meanwhile, a third phone using Google’s mobile phone platform, the Spica i7500 is being readied for release.

Available now from Top 10 Mobile Phones, the Galaxy features a five megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, pre-installed Google applications and 8GB of onboard memory.

The phone also offers include unlimited fields for phonebook entries and contacts, a media player, 3.5mm headphone jack, email and fun, motion-sensitive games.
