Shazam, the app that allows the user to find out the name and recording artist of any song they hear by holding their phone up to the sound source, has been released in an improved form on the Nokia Ovi Store.
Various features have been added, including the option to download the full song directly to your phone.
If you are in a connectivity black spot you can also store the audio clip on your phone, so that Shazam can analyse it next time you are in an area with decent 3G reception or Wi-Fi coverage.
The Shazam app will allow for unlimited tagging and tags can be posted on Facebook as status updates or tweeted on Twitter.
Shazam is now available from the Ovi Store, although any data charges incurred from using a 3G connection to find out about that elusive song will still need to be covered by the phone's owner, so a Wi-Fi connection is going to be the best way to enjoy all that Shazam has to offer.
